Nominees for both the Proto Awards and the FoST FEST  have just been announced and we are thrilled to report that both include a large array of boundary pushing Wevr produced simulations.

“For Wevr it’s a both mission and a privilege to help  creatives realize their  visions in this new medium,” says Wevr co-founder and EVP Anthony Batt. “And to have them now recognized by their peers in the VR community is phenomenal and really only confirms our original belief in their respective talents.”

The Proto Awards were created by the non profit Virtual Reality Foundation in order to honor experiences that push the medium forward both artistically and technologically.  “It was important to me that there be an awards show put on by people who truly understand and love the medium’” explains VRLA co-founder Jonnie Ross. “It’s incredibly gratifying that in our third year we see such an exciting group of honorees.”  Nominees are voted on by a panel of both VR luminaries and past awards winners. The ceremony will take place on October 8th in Los Angeles.
